H. Gray Park
Aas a young emerging artist, H. Gray Park's work has been well received in galleries and is a popular new force among collectors.
Gray started oil paintings at a young age and majored in fine arts at the Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, Conn. In 1994, he received his B.F.A. in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where he focused on painting landscapes and seascapes. During his studies, he spent a year abroad painting the rugged Scottish coastline and the English countryside.
The majority of Gray's painting is done "en plein air", where Gray strives to capture the changing relationship between land and sea.
Since 1989, Gray has participated in 12 group exhibitions and six one-man shows. He has received numerous awards, including the Maritime Gallery's 2004 Stobart Foundation Award and 2005 Award of Excellence.
