Carol Dyer is an accomplished Maryland painter of early America traditions. She is well known for her "Washington Christmas Series." These paintings of historic buildings have commanded significant audiences throughout the country. Authenticity and meticulous attention to detail are trademarks of her paintings, which celebrates the different aspects of American life at the turn of the century. She often remarks that "one should read my paintings like a book." Her works can be found in the Smithsonian and Library of Congress. During summer months, Carol is the folk-artist-in-residence of Bethany Beach, Delaware, where she has gained recognition for her landmarks of the Delaware seashore.
