Elizabeth Mumford paints in a whimsical folk style, often with a nautical theme. Each painting is surrounded by her signature black border with verse and bronze stenciled scallop shells in the corner. Her work reflects her love of the sea, old boats, and "olden times." Liz has put many of her paintings into prints, notecards, and most recently, needlepoint canvases and hand-cut puzzles. She has designed programs and prints for many charities and schools, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Hospice, United Way, Mystic Seaport, Holderness School, Girl Scouts, Fay School, Figawi Charitities, and others. Liz lives on Cape Cod, in Hyannis Port with her husband and son, the Cairn terrier, and the cat.
