     The Shelburne Museum's American paintings include superb examples of landscapes, genre scenes, and portraits by many of the nation's great artsits of the 18th, 19th, and early-20th centuries.  One artist represented in Shelburne's Collections is Fitz Hugh Lane, the first name in American marine painting.  Mystic Seaport is pleased to be working with the Shelburne Museum to make these wonderful images, on canvas, available to the public.
