Growing up in Newport Beach, California, Scott Kennedy's pursuit of marine art began very early. He studied art at Bellas Artes de Mexico in San Miguel de Allende and travelled extensively, pursuing his work in pen and ink. Opon returning to America he started to chronicle the America's Cup races and he has received much acclaim in this area. Scott prefers to work on location, keeping the magic of light, water, and wind constantly fresh in his work. He has been represented in many one-man shows, and his work hangs in permanent museum collections in Germany and the Netherlands.
